If your skin runs oily, breaks out along the T-zone, or seems to trap blackheads no matter how carefully you cleanse at home, the answer usually isn’t scrubbing harder — it’s decongesting deeper, without stripping your barrier. That’s exactly what our Deep Purifying Pore Control Facial is built to do, using a combination of professional technologies that soften hardened oil, lift debris out of the pore, and neutralize the bacteria that drive breakouts.
What happens during the treatment
Every visit is tailored to what your skin needs that day, but a typical Deep Purifying Pore Control Facial follows this arc:
- Analysis & double cleanse — we look at your skin under magnification to see where oil and congestion are concentrated.
- Ozone steam — warm, ozone-infused vapor softens the surface and gently opens pores so extractions are more comfortable and effective.
- Galvanic desincrustation — a low-level current paired with an alkaline solution liquefies hardened sebum deep in the pore, so it can be lifted out instead of squeezed.
- Extractions — blackheads and congestion are cleared with controlled technique, not aggressive pressure.
- Germicidal high-frequency — a glass electrode passes over the skin to disinfect and calm blemish-prone areas.
- Soothing mask & SPF — we finish by calming the skin and protecting it.
The technology — and the century-old science behind it
Two of the tools in this facial have a surprisingly rich history. Both were medical and scientific discoveries long before they became part of professional skincare.
Galvanic current: a discovery from 1780s Italy
The word galvanic comes from Luigi Galvani, the Italian physician and physicist who, in the 1780s, discovered that a frog’s muscles twitched when touched by two different metals. He had stumbled onto bioelectricity — and the phenomenon was named “galvanism” in his honor. Over the following century, a gentle, controlled direct current found its way into skincare, where it does two useful things. In desincrustation, the current works with an alkaline gel to saponify (essentially soften and emulsify) the oil clogging your pores, making stubborn congestion far easier to release. In iontophoresis, the polarity is reversed to drive water-soluble, hydrating and brightening ingredients deeper than they could travel on their own. It is the same principle Galvani uncovered, refined for the skin.
High frequency: born from Tesla’s coils
High-frequency skin devices trace directly back to the high-frequency alternating currents developed by Nikola Tesla in the 1890s and the pioneering therapeutic research of French physiologist Jacques-Arsène d’Arsonval. Early “violet ray” devices — glass electrodes filled with argon or neon gas that glow violet or orange — became popular in the early 1900s. The reason they earn a place in a modern acne facial is elegant: as the electrode passes over the skin, it ionizes the oxygen at the surface into ozone, a natural germicide. That gives high-frequency a genuine antibacterial effect on breakout-prone skin, while gently boosting local circulation. A discovery from the age of Tesla, still doing quiet, useful work today.
You can see both of these technologies — along with our ozone steamer and vacuum extraction — on our Treatment Room page, which walks through every function of the professional system we use and the service each one powers.
What you’ll see after your treatment
Right away, skin looks clearer and feels genuinely decongested — pores appear smaller because they’re no longer packed with debris. It’s normal to look slightly flushed for an hour or two after extractions; that settles quickly. Over the next several days, active blemishes tend to calm faster, and the skin feels smoother and less “gritty” to the touch. Because we don’t strip the barrier, you shouldn’t experience the tight, raw feeling that harsh treatments leave behind.

Frequently asked questions
Does the Deep Purifying Pore Control Facial hurt?
No. Steam, galvanic current and high-frequency are all comfortable and relaxing. Extractions can feel like light pressure, but we work gently and never force the skin.
Is it safe for sensitive or acne-prone skin?
Yes — it’s designed for congested, blemish-prone skin, and intensity is adjusted to your tolerance. Let us know about any medications, allergies, or recent treatments so we can tailor it safely.
How soon will I see results?
Skin looks clearer and less congested immediately. Active breakouts typically calm over the following days, and clarity builds with repeat visits.
Who should avoid high-frequency or galvanic current?
Let us know if you are pregnant, have a pacemaker or metal implants, or have epilepsy — some electrical modalities aren’t suitable, and we’ll tailor a safe alternative.
How often should I come in?
Every 4–6 weeks for most clients. Congestion and oil are ongoing, so a regular rhythm is what keeps skin clear long term.
