The Radiant Glow Clinic-Grade Facial is our all-skin-types signature and the best first visit for anyone new to Lumina. What sets it apart is where it begins: not with a fixed menu of steps, but with a genuine skin consultation and analysis, so everything that follows is chosen for your skin, on that day.
What happens during the treatment
- Consultation & skin analysis — we read your skin under magnification and the Wood’s lamp to see oil, dehydration, congestion and pigment.
- Double cleanse — makeup, sunscreen and surface oil are thoroughly removed.
- Exfoliation — dead surface cells are lifted to reveal fresh skin and boost glow.
- Extractions as needed — gentle clearing of any congestion we find.
- Treatment mask & finish — a mask suited to your skin, then hydration and SPF.
The technology — and the history behind the skin analysis
The Wood’s lamp: a 1903 physics invention that reads your skin
In 1903, the American physicist Robert Williams Wood invented a special glass filter that blocks visible light and passes ultraviolet — still called a “Wood’s lamp” today. Dermatologists quickly discovered that under its glow, things invisible to the naked eye come to light: areas of oil, dehydration, thickened skin and pigment each fluoresce differently. In a facial, that turns guesswork into a map. Instead of guessing whether your skin is oily or simply dehydrated (they can look identical), your esthetician can see it — and choose the right products and depth accordingly.
Magnification: the esthetician’s loupe
Paired with the Wood’s lamp is a magnifying lamp — a strong diopter lens that enlarges pores, fine lines and texture so nothing is missed. Together they’re the reason a Radiant Glow Facial is genuinely personalized rather than one-size-fits-all. You can see this analysis step, and every other tool we use, on our Treatment Room page.
What you’ll see after your treatment
Skin looks immediately brighter, feels smoother and more hydrated, and makeup sits better the next day. Because the treatment is tailored, you also leave knowing exactly what your skin needs — which products are helping, which aren’t, and what to focus on at home.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Radiant Glow Facial good for a first visit?
Yes — it’s our recommended starting point for all skin types because it includes a full consultation and skin analysis, so we can build the right plan for you.
Will the Wood’s lamp analysis hurt or expose me to much UV?
Not at all. It’s a brief, painless look under a specialized lamp in a darkened room — no discomfort and no downtime.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. Because it’s fully customized, we adjust exfoliation and products to your tolerance. Always tell us about allergies, medications or recent procedures.
How soon will I see results?
Right away — brighter, smoother, more hydrated skin. The deeper benefits build with regular visits.
How often should I come in?
Every 4–6 weeks for most people, which matches your skin’s natural renewal cycle.
