Frequently asked questions
Is there any downtime?
There's no downtime. Skin may look slightly flushed right after the galvanic step, settling quickly, and you can return to normal activities the same day.
How many sessions will I need?
Fading pigment is a gradual process tied to your skin's renewal cycle. A series of sessions spaced a few weeks apart gives the most even results, with maintenance to keep new sun damage in check.
Who is it best for?
It's ideal for sunspots, hyperpigmentation, and uneven tone. It isn't suitable if you have a pacemaker or metal implants, are pregnant, or have broken or actively breaking-out skin in the area β tell us so we can adapt.
How is it different from using a brightening cream?
Topical brighteners mostly sit on the surface. Galvanic current uses a gentle charge to push brightening actives deeper, making the treatment far more effective on stubborn pigment.
How do I protect my results?
Sun protection is everything here β daily broad-spectrum SPF and sun avoidance protect your progress. Your esthetician may suggest a brightening home serum to extend results.
